Hotel Accommodations

The Hilton Portland and Executive Towers is our host hotel but it is now virtually sold out. You should check with them first to determine if they still have rooms available at the special conference rate of $129 (plus tax) per night. The special conference rate of $129 (plus tax) per night is available from Tuesday, October 10th through Sunday, October 15. The hotel is located at:

To receive the special conference rate, hotel rooms must be reserved by September 15, or until the block of rooms is sold out. You are encouraged to reserve a room as soon as possible. When you call to reserve, please ask for the Service Learning Conference rate.

Rooms at $129 have also been secured at the two following hotels:

  1. The Portland Marriott City Center
    Follow this link to make your reservation, and enter your arrival/departure dates: http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/pdxct?groupCode=islisla&app=resvlink. It should give you the $129 rate. Please use the reservation code that is indicated when you go to the website; these rooms are NOT booked under CLAC's name but under the Service Learning Research Conference. Alternatively you can make reservations by calling Marriott Worldwide Reservations at 1-800-228-9290, asking for the Portland Marriott City Center and referring to the Service Learning Research Conference group block.

  2. The Paramount Hotel
    Call (503) 223-9900 or central reservations at (800) 663-1144, and ask for the Service Learning Conference rate. The hotel website is www.portlandparamount.com, but online reservations are not available.

All rooms reserved for us will be held at this rate until September 12, but are subject to availability so we encourage you to reserve quickly. Downtown Portland hotels are very busy in mid-October.

Transportation from Portland International Airport

To get to the Hilton from the airport, take the MAX Red Line (the fare is $1.95) in the direction of Beaverton Transit Center. Get off at the Mall/SW 5th Avenue MAX station and walk 0.2 miles southwest to the Hilton Hotel. You may buy tickets from the ticket machines located at MAX stations, or online in the TriMet Store at http://www.trimet.org/store/index.htm
