Governor Visits Portland State

We were delighted to welcome Governor Ted Kulongoski to campus Monday, February 13, to recognize his commitment to ONAMI, the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute. The Governor toured Portland State's Center for Electron Microscopy and Nanofabrication, an ONAMI facility, and spoke about his commitment to ONAMI, an organization he described as "a partnership to make our world better through technology."

Governor Kulongoski acknowledged the importance of the liberal arts and sciences as the foundation for a university education and spoke passionately about "the miracles of applied science and technology."

For all who attended, it was truly a marvelous day.
